Lakmé CC Cream | Review

Hello lovelies! How are you all? The product that is up for review today is the Lakmé Complexion Care Cream. For all those who don’t know about Lakmé it is a popular Indian brand which makes makeup products and is owned by Hindustan Unilever. I have been using this cream for a long time now so I can tell how it is.

♢What the product says:
Protects, moisturizes, brightens, evens tone, conceals and freshens.

♢Packaging:
The cream comes in a tube with a pink cardboard outer cover which looks really cute. The tube has a nice secure cap and is compact in size which makes this travel friendly.

♢My experience:
I bought this the first time as I wanted something light to apply on my face because in India the climate becomes too hot to wear foundation everyday and also I needed something which provided medium coverage as I don’t have many blemishes. So I bought it in the shade beige which has yellow undertones to it. The cream has a texture which is somewhere between a foundation and a moisturiser. It is not runny which is good but sometimes especially during winters blending the cream becomes a bit difficult because of dryness. Another thing that I noticed was that there were just two shades available! I mean how can you just have two shades for a wide variety of skintones and that too in India where the skintone varies from region to region! That was a huge drawback. The other shade was bronze which had slightly pink undertones to it. I apply a small amount of the cream and blend it with my fingertips. Blending needs to be done carefully otherwise you might end up looking quite patchy. The cream has spf 20 in it which causes a white cast on the face so you cannot take pictures with a flash otherwise you might look like a white ghost! However it is good for everyday use for the daytime. It has a slight fragrance which resembles Lakmé’s sunscreen(spf could be the reason!) which is okay as it vanishes after some time. It provides medium coverage as mentioned earlier and is not buildable. Also once applied ypu don’t feel heavy on the face which I think is really good considering the climate. All in all it is a good product for someone who is looking for a product which feels light on the skin for wearing on a day to day basis.

♢My Rating: 4/5
